Business Studies questions are built around case studies. We teach the concepts, then practise applying them to the business in the question, which is where most students drop marks.
Apply business concepts to the organisation in the question. Use its costs, customers and constraints to justify a decision, then explain what extra information could affect the choice.

A business has monthly fixed costs of $600. It sells a product for $8 with a variable cost of $5 per unit. Find its monthly break-even output.
The business breaks even at 200 units per month, assuming all units are sold at the stated price and costs remain as given.
Common mistake: Do not divide fixed costs by the selling price. Each sale must cover its variable cost before contributing towards fixed costs.
