Our approach

How we teach Physics

Physics needs both the concept and the calculation. Our tutors use diagrams and simulations to build intuition, then teach the structured working that examiners want in multi-mark calculation and explanation questions.

Start with the physical situation, then choose an equation. A sketch, units and a clear statement of what stays constant often reveal the method before any numbers are substituted.

Topics covered

  • Motion, forces & energy
  • Thermal physics
  • Waves, light & sound
  • Electricity & magnetism
  • Nuclear & space physics
  • Practical & data analysis

Calculate the resultant force

An original learning exercise, not an official exam question.

A trolley of mass 2.0 kg accelerates at 1.5 m/s². What resultant force acts on it?

Show the worked answer
  1. Use resultant force = mass × acceleration.
  2. Substitute F = 2.0 × 1.5.
  3. The unit kg m/s² is a newton (N).

The resultant force is 3.0 N in the direction of the acceleration.

Common mistake: This is the resultant force. If friction also acts, the applied pulling force need not be 3.0 N.

I am an experienced Physics and Mathematics tutor with several years of teaching experience. I currently teach international students from different countries and work with students following IGCSE, O Level, GCSE, and A Level curricula. My teaching approach focuses on building strong concepts, explaining difficult topics in a simple and clear way, and developing problem-solving and exam skills. I adapt my lessons according to each student’s learning level, pace, and academic needs. I also teach SAT and BS (university) level students. Classes are online only.
